Leona Connected High School provides a safe and flexible online high school experience for at-risk and alternative students. That is, they have behavioral issues, have dropped out or are likely to drop out, are pregnant or parenting, have a history of academic failure, or have been adjudicated. Leona Connected features a core curriculum with credit recovery opportunities and modern learning experiences. Leona Connected strives to create opportunities for students to enhance their experiences to learn, thrive, and succeed after graduation.

Leona Connected High School proudly offers a peer-to-peer mentoring program for students of military families. Students who wish to become mentors should check the box marked "AZ Purple Star" in the Extracurricular section of the ECAP form.

Every April, we celebrate the Month of the Military Child by encouraging students and staff to dress in purple on Thursdays.
We organize an annual Veterans Day Celebration to honor the service and sacrifice of our United States Military.
Any student aged 21 or under who lives in Arizona who has not graduated high school can enroll in the school. Families must be able to provide documentation they are living in the state of Arizona.
LCHS is a tuition-free public charter high school. Students do not need to pay to attend classes.
Yes. All students need access to a computer to take classes. Students may use their personal computers to participate in virtual teacher-led and self-paced courses. If a student does not have a device, they can request a FREE LCHS Chromebook.
Yes. LCHS is a member of The Leona Group Arizona managed network of schools. All Leona Group-managed schools have earned Cognia accreditation by completing a comprehensive vetting process for quality and rigor. Each school can appoint where credits will be assigned when transferred.
Students will earn a high school diploma. A live, in-person graduation ceremony will be held each year, traditionally in late May or early June. Students are all invited, but not required, to attend the live event to receive their diplomas.
In most cases, the answer would be yes, but the family would need to check with the prior school.
